Jowett Motor Group:

Cybersecurity Modernisation Delivered by Automotive Cyber Group

Jowett Motor Group, a leading Australian automotive dealership network operating across 19 sites in Victoria, South Australia, and the ACT, partnered with Automotive Cyber Group to modernise its cybersecurity environment and support continued business growth.

With a distributed dealership footprint and increasing reliance on digital systems across operations, finance, and customer engagement, Jowett Motor Group required a scalable and cohesive security approach. Existing legacy systems no longer met operational or security requirements, and fragmented controls across sites created visibility gaps and increased risk exposure.

Automotive Cyber Group was engaged to design and deliver a comprehensive cybersecurity uplift that would strengthen protection while maintaining uninterrupted dealership operations. The program centred on the ongoing management of a modern Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) platform, replacing legacy endpoint tools and significantly improving threat detection and response capabilities across all devices.

In addition, Automotive Cyber Group implemented enhanced identity protection controls to reduce the risk of account compromise and unauthorised access, one of the most prevalent attack vectors in modern environments. Email security was also uplifted across both existing and newly established dealership sites, improving resilience against phishing and other email-based threats.

A structured, phased implementation approach ensured a seamless transition. Automotive Cyber Group conducted detailed environment assessments, validated compatibility across systems and applications, and executed a controlled rollout of new security controls. This approach enabled rapid uplift without disrupting day-to-day dealership operations or impacting user productivity.

As a result of the engagement, Jowett Motor Group achieved significantly improved visibility across endpoints, strengthened identity security, and reduced exposure to cyber threats. The organisation can now securely onboard new dealership sites while maintaining consistent security standards across its growing network.

Operationally, the modernised environment has reduced complexity, streamlined security management, and enhanced overall resilience. Through ongoing advisory support and security awareness initiatives delivered by Automotive Cyber Group, Jowett Motor Group continues to mature its cybersecurity posture and make informed, risk-based decisions.

With a scalable and unified security foundation now in place, Jowett Motor Group is well positioned to support future expansion and digital transformation, backed by a security strategy aligned to the demands of a modern automotive business.
